In 2006 SeicoDyne successfully introduces a DITA-based editor solution in a Swiss pharmaceutical company.
Tools
Hereby the Arbortext Editor is implemented on the author side and Trisoft Infoshare on the XML CMS side. Antennahouse was chosen as render engine.
Challenge
The demands have already come up with several challenges that had not yet been solved by anyone . It was all about specialising DITA submission documentation. Hereby DITA 1.1 DTD. which was only available as an early beta version. was implemented for the first time in summer 2006. Apart from the challenge of using the DITA 1.1 beta version several specialisations had to be carried out to meet the particular demands made by the pharmaceutical industry.
This was achieved in autumn 2006 and extensive user tests could be started.
Stylesheets
For the Stylesheet development DITA-Open Toolkit, IDIOM-FO processors and Trisoft Stylesheets were used as basis which was adapted to the demands of PDF renditions.
In addition the HTML Stlyesheets were generated for Previews and Editing Stylesheets for data collection with the Arbortext Editor, both for Maps and for Topics.
Customizing
Furthermore, both Arbortext Editor and CMS had to be adapted and extended.
